Fulfilled Prophecy: A Strong Apologetic, Pt. 1
In many ways and in many Old Testament passages God told Israel how He would deal with them and what His ultimate plan for them would be. God spelled it all out in Leviticus 26. They should have known but they still stumbled repeatedly as a blind man would.
For God to fulfill His promises to Israel He must preserve Israel throughout their dispersion, and through two millennia.
As ethnic populations go in today’s world the Jews are a small number. Their number is just about equal to the margin of error in the estimated population of China, about 14 million people.
Oil or Spoil? The Middle East Again
There is a question asked in Ezekiel 38:13 that has Sheba and Dedan, oil rich Arabian Peninsula countries, asking if the Magog coalition is coming to take a spoil. Could the spoil be Middle East oil? Could it be Israeli oil and gas?
The joke is told by Jewish people that when Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt he should have turned right instead of left to Canaan. If they had turned right they would possess the oil fields of the Arabian Peninsula.
It was always thought that Israel had no oil deposits. However, in recent years, even as recently as 2011, reports are that Israel has potentially as much oil as all the known reserves in Saudi Arabia.
Israel & the Watchtower Society
The Watchtower Society says today that the ‘Israel’ in Romans 11 is the 144,000 and not ethnic Jews or national Israel. However, the problem for Jehovah’s Witnesses comes further down in this same chapter when Paul says that the Jews (the Watchtower’s 144,000) are “blinded” (verse 25), and “enemies” of the gospel (verse 28). With these statements she realized that Paul could not be talking about the 144,000 when he calls them blinded and enemies. They must be ethnic and national Israel.
Israel Reborn
(Frank Scherschel The LIFE Picture Collection/Shutterstock) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. And he shall set up the ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.(Isaiah 11:11-12)
